3rd INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN AND YOUTH SHINING STAR FESTIVAL will take
place during the dates
04-09
June 2013 in Istanbul / Turkey
SHINING
STAR festival is a WAFA (World Association of Festival and Artists)
Festival.
THE
AIM OF THE FESTIVAL
Like
it is in the slogan of WAFA the aim of the festival is to strengthen
hand in hand PEACE and FRIENDSHIP in the world with Music and Arts.
SHINING STAR is a wonderful chance to promote international young
stars in the music world. At the same time it gives a chance to these
young artists to promote the music and culture of their countries.
Each child and each young artist with his ideas and feelings is a new
Light to the World…
CONDITIONS
OF THE FESTIVAL
There
are 4 categories in the festival :
1-Children
ages 6-10
2-Children
ages 11-15
3-Young
artists ages 16-19
4-Young
artists ages 20-+
Participants
from all age categories will be
competing for the SINGER’S CONTEST on the 6th of June singing 2
songs. They will choose the songs themselves. The songs can be songs
from their own country music or can be a WORLD HIT. It can be in any
language they want. The jury may also join together the 2 categories
and may evaluate them under one category if they wish.
SINCE
ALL THE AWARDS INCLUDING THE SPECIAL ONES AND CERTIFICATES WILL BE
PRESENTED ON
THE
GALA NIGHT OF THE FESTIVAL 7th June ALL FINALISTS WILL BE PRESENT ON
THE STAGE WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE COSTUMES.
IN
GENERAL
The
duration of the songs will not be more than 4 minutes.
All
songs will be performed LIVE to half play back (-1)
Participants
need to bring extra half play back CDs with them.
On
the half play back CDs vocals may be recorded previously.
INTERNATIONAL
JURY
Jury
will consist of Festival Organizors, well-known composers, artists
and persons from Turkish Media. The
President of the Jury is Mrs. Figen Cakmak, Senior Vice-President of
WAFA and Vice President of the Jury is Mr. Robert Cefai, Secretary
General of WAFA
AWARDS
Grand
Prix : Invitation to 4th SHINING
STAR FESTIVAL as GUEST STAR and 1 week of Holiday in Turkey for 2
persons.
This
Grand prix will be chosen and given by the jury members to one
person among the participants from different categories with the
highest points.
Jury
may give awards in the first 3 places in all the age categories or
can join 1st and 2nd categories and join 3rd and 4th categories
together and give the awards accordingly. Jury may also decide not to
give an award if they don’t find a participant for that award.
The
participants winning the awards will be given plaquettes and several
presents.
There
will also be WAFA award and other special awards.
Festival
organizors may give special awards and invitations to their
festivals.
There
will also be awards given by the Sponsors of the festival.
Whether
awarded or not each participants will receive a certificate for
participation

Coming
to Istanbul you can use the ATATURK or SABIHA GOKCEN AIRPORTS
For
participants,*jury members,guests and accompanying persons :
Festival
organization,will include transfer from airport to hotel and back,
accomodation and meals, festival activities and city tours .
In
the hotel it will be double and triple rooms for our guests.
Accomodation will be in special statu hotel of Istanbul
Tours
will be made to the touristic and historical places of Istanbul and
to special shopping centers.

OTHERS
Videos
from the festival and digital photos will be given to our guests free
The
festival organization committee has the right to make other
alterations if necessary
Those
participants under the age of 18 have to be accompanied by either
their parents, teachers or somebody appointed by their families.
These persons will have the responsibility to take care of them

the participants and accompanying persons need to have an health
insurance
